Aliens in India
When thinking about some of my ‘ fellow citizen ‘this
is the concept which comes to my mind because throughout the history they are
behaving just as someone from outside who follows different set of rules and
lifestyle and not have any belief in what we have here. Recent turnouts
regarding Afsal guru’s case shows this thing. Those who protested and raised
anti Indian slogans should know and understand the fact that he got a nice
trial and special POTA court gave him enough and more opportunities to claim
his innocence and he failed in that. Moreover he had gone for a confession
which he himself demanded and before that and after that he was provided with
medical checkups and doctors assistance. The confession he gave more or less similar
to investigative officers findings.
How can we to claim that he is not participated in
activities against the country. Yes, it is true that he did not participate in
the attacks with the other deceased terrorists but his presence was crucial in
the planning and preparation of the same. There is plenty of evidence which showed
that he went with militants for buying ammonium nitrate and shop keeper
identified him before the court. Next issue is that he had constant connection
with other militants over the phone (even just before the attack) and acts like
a connecting link. He was apprehended by J K Police while he and shoukat were
going back to Kashmir with some valuable evidence like laptops which was used
to manipulate false I D cards. Moreover he himself showed the investigators the
hideouts and other strategic areas where they used to plan and prepare for the
crime. Those who has more doubts regarding all these accusations please go and
check the case diary (supreme court judgment). Of course I agree that are there
misdeeds from the part of the whole system and it’s not an apt fact for
justifying his accomplice.
One can argue that and many of us are doing it, that
he was used by some. Yes, I agree with that. He was used by Pakistan militants
and a person with education and world view should not succumb to it. That is
the significant duty of a citizen and he has to vigilant upon the activities
which are happening against his country. Here you can’t give any of these
connotations to afsal because he knows thoroughly what is going to happen and
after the incident his moving back to Kashmir can be seen as a fleeing and he
was captured and brought before the law.
Recent uprisings in JNU can be seen as something to
capture attention which they often do and claims that they are the Indian
brokers of culture and the patent holders for defining what has to add and
delete. They clearly know that they can’t grab attention without challenging
the system or thinks that the activist has to do something like that, or
otherwise they won’t fulfill the justice towards ‘activism’. My dear friends,
they are enough ways to make yourselves as an activist but it should not
through supporting anti nationals and you know better than anyone in the
country that these ways are difficult and needs more hard workings and
homework. The earlier one is just easy and anyone can do it. If you are doing
it continuously the result will be the increasement in the number of aliens in
the country and you will be booked for sedition.
